The Mind Body connection, which means union or harmony, is both a philosophical system and a science that offers us the opportunity to deepen our self-awareness through physical movement, breathing and meditation. The practice of movement and flow can lead to physical benefits such as improved cardiovascular functioning, stronger muscles and bones and increased flexibility. The benefits to the mind and soul are endless and the experience of quieting your mind and connecting with your breath leads to a deeper sense of well-being and balance.

We offer classes for all levels of participation from beginner to instructor trainee. Instructors at Defined Fitness draw from an extensive background. Most classes are an eclectic blend of various styles and disciplines, unless otherwise noted on the schedule. Come join us and integrate your mind, body and spirit. Advanced Hatha Yoga Advanced Hatha Yoga

Poses are set in a flowing sequence with breath. Participants should be familiar with intermediate yoga posture.

AIS (Active Isolated Stretching)

You will actively stretch the body’s muscles by isolating one muscle at a time to improve overall flexibility and range of motion for functional and sports performance. BIAS

BODYFLOW™ BODYFLOW™

BodyFlow is the Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling long, strong, calm and centered. BIA

Hatha Flow Hatha Flow

Breath-synchronized yoga set in a flowing circular sequence at a medium pace. Cultivates core and leg strength with upper- body freedom. BIAS

 

Hatha Yoga Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is slow paced and gentle and each pose is set in a flowing sequence. This is a great introduction to basic yoga poses  BIAS

Hot Power Yoga

Empahsis on core strength, flexibility, and balance. Using core muscles to stablize the core body while attaining flexibility and balance through continuous movement. Vinyasa (Flow). BIA

Hot Vinyasa Flow

A flow based class utilizing the breath, leading to static standing, balancing, and seated postures: ending with a period of total relaxation. Mats and props are provided. BIA

Hot Yoga

Class utilizing the breath, leading to static standing, balancing, and seated postures: ending with a period of total relaxation. Mats and props are provided. BIA

Hot Yogalates

Synchronized movement focusing on balance, strenght, and flexibility. BIA

Intermediate/Advanced Vinyasa Yoga Intermediate/Advanced Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is for the more experienced student wishing to improve their practice, although options are offered for the less experienced yoga student as well. BIA

Intro. to Pilates

Learn how to stabilize using core muscles while moving arms and legs, creating a more balanced body. BIAS

Iyengar Yoga Iyengar Yoga

This type of Yoga focuses on detail and precise alignment of postures. Props are used to help with proper alignment (straps, blocks, blankets). BIA

Kriya

This is traditional Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on stress reduction through breathing techniques and yoga postures. BIAS

NIA Dance Fitness

This class is a combination of dance, martial and healing arts, blended together into simple choreography.  BIAS

Partner Yoga Partner Yoga

Students will warm up individually with traditional yoga sequences and then pair up with a partner to work more deeply in facilitated stretches. BIAS

Pilates Basic

Learn how to stabilize using core muscles while moving arms and legs, creating a more balanced body.   BIAS

Pilates Mat Pilates Mat

The emphasis of this class is to develop core strength, flexibility, and balance.   BIA

Pilates on the Ball Pilates on the Ball

This is a Pilates based class in which exercises utilizing the Swiss Ball will get you to challenge your core and balance. IA

You will build flexibility, balance and sweat a heck of a lot.

SilverSneakers™ Yoga SilverSneakers™ Yoga

A class designed to challenge you physically and mentally with simple/safe yoga exercises using a chair for support to increase flexibility. BS

Tai Chi Tai Chi

This is an ancient martial art focusing on relaxation and proper breathing techniques. The emphasis is on coordination, balance and mental concentration. BIAS

Vinyasa Yoga
