Assumption of Risk

I voluntarily choose to participate in the various programs offered at DEFINED FITNESS, which may include aerobic dance, group exercise classes, cycling classes, cardiovascular machines, resistance machines, and free weights. I understand that the availability of programs and amenities may vary depending on the location. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician regarding any preexisting health conditions that may pose risks. I am aware that physical activity can involve certaindiscomforts and risks, such as muscle soreness, strains, sprains, and, on rare occasions, cardiovascular issues including high blood pressure. I understand that DEFINED FITNESS takes every precaution to minimize these risks through ongoing staff training and continuous evaluation of their personnel.

Kids’ Club:

DEFINED FITNESS Kids Club is exclusively for the children of our members. Children may stay in the Kids Club center for a maximum of 2 hours per day and must be listed on their parent’s membership. We care for children aged 10 months to 12 years, and parents are required to remain on the premises while their children are in our care. Memberships starting at age 13.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and we do not provide diaper-changing services. If your child needs a diaper change or has an accident, we will notify you to attend to them. We advise against bringing toys from home, as we are not responsible if a toy is lost or played with by another child.

Please do not bring children who display visible symptoms of illness, such as a runny nose, coughing, or fever. We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask that children who appear visibly ill be removed from Kid Club immediately.

If a child cries continuously or misbehaves for more than 15 minutes and DEFINED FITNESS staff are unable to manage the situation, we may ask that the child be removed from Kid Club. Children who repeatedly misbehave may be suspended or banned from Kid Club at the discretion of the General Manager.

Use of the Facility:

  • Weights and Equipment: If you are ever unsure about how to use any of DEFINED FITNESS’s equipment or would like to learn the proper technique, please ask a staff member for assistance or sign up with one of our Fitness Managers. Remember, do not drop or throw dumbbells. If you cannot control them on the way down, please use a spotter or reduce the weight. After using the weights, return them to the rack and wipe down any benches you’ve used.

  • Equipment Usage Etiquette: Please avoid lingering on equipment, as other members may want to use it. No member should monopolize equipment or weights. If there is a maximum time limit for its use, please adhere to these rules. In general, follow proper gym etiquette. If a conflict arises over equipment use, please allow DEFINED FITNESS staff to handle it.

Additionally, this policy extends to interfering with daily operations, stealing company property, and displaying negative or disrespectful behavior toward DEFINED FITNESS staff and management.
  • Steroid Warning: The use of steroids to increase strength or growth can cause serious health problems. Steroids can keep teenagers from growing to their full height; they can also cause heart disease, stroke, and liver damage. People can develop fertility problems, personality changes, and acne. People can experience premature balding and the development of breast tissue. There are also civil and criminal penalties for the unauthorized sales, use, or exchange of anabolic steroids.

Violation of Rules: If any member or guest violates DEFINED FITNESS Policies or Rules, they will be asked to stop the behavior immediately or leave the facility. DEFINED FITNESS reserves the right to terminate a membership in accordance with the terms outlined in the membership agreement. Serious or repeated violations, particularly those involving disrespectful or disruptive conduct, may result in the immediate termination of the individual’s membership and a permanent ban from all DEFINED FITNESS locations. Our priority is to maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all members and staff.
