My 163lb Transformation

“My journey started in April of 2021, during the pandemic. My body started to have severely adverse side effects to being pre-diabetic, severely obese and needing two knee replacement surgeries. My doctor informed me that if I didn’t make a significant life course correction very quickly that there were going to be more dire consequences to come. I had a decision to make for myself and my family.

I chose LIFE. I poured every ounce of energy, focus, fear, frustration, drive, anxiety, uncertainty, and love for myself that I had back into reclaiming my life. Initially, I only started going to Defined Fitness because that was the only place where I could weigh myself on a commercial size scale because I weighed 508 pounds. Yes, that’s correct #508.

I started seeing a dietician and was able to get down to 450 lbs before starting personal training at the Hilltop Club where I met Hannah and Aaron. We began our workouts in July of 2021 during the pandemic. I will tell you that wearing a face mask while working out was no easy feat at all. Starting with small weight after once being a Division I college football player was a hard pill to swallow. In February of 2022, I suffered a spinal injury. My trainer was instrumental in substituting pool workouts during that period of time.

Once I had recovered I started working with Brant, the nutritionist that partners with Defined Fitness. As time progressed while on this journey, and in following my trainer’s workout plan, I gained quite a bit of stability and strength. As of my InBody scan this past August 30, 2023, I am down to 286 lbs. This makes it a total of 163.9 lbs that I lost with Defined Fitness. Through this journey I have gained muscle, strength, stability, endurance, self-confidence and, more importantly, a love for life once again. “
