Intro to Mat Pilates – New to Pilates? Start here. This beginner-friendly class teaches foundational movements, breathing technique, and core engagement in a low-pressure, guided environment.

Mat Pilates – Classic Pilates on the mat. Focused on spinal alignment, core control, and deep muscle engagement, this class is accessible to all levels and delivers consistent results.

Intermediate Pilates – For members who’ve built their Pilates foundation and are ready for more. Expect more challenging sequences, longer holds, and deeper progressions.

Pilates and Stretch – A recovery-focused class that pairs Pilates strengthening with extended flexibility and mobility work. Ideal as a complement to higher-intensity training days.

Pilates on a Ball – Traditional Pilates movements performed with a stability ball, adding an element of balance and proprioception training that challenges your core from new angles.

Pilates Burn – Pilates meets intensity. This format layers cardio intervals and dynamic strength challenges on top of traditional Pilates movements for a workout that builds and burns at the same time.

Yogalates – A hybrid class blending Pilates core work with yoga-inspired movement and breathwork. Great for members who love both disciplines and want the benefits of each in a single session.

LES MILLS PILATES™ – A music-driven Pilates class that blends classical technique with modern fitness. Expect targeted core work, full-body strengthening, and flexibility training — backed by science and delivered with energy.

Why Pilates?

Deep core strength – Pilates targets the stabilizing muscles of your trunk, hips, and back — the foundation that supports everything else you do.

Better posture and alignment – Strengthening the muscles around your spine helps correct imbalances and reduce chronic pain and tension.

Low impact, real results – Controlled, intentional movement builds strength and mobility without stressing your joints.

Improved body awareness – Pilates develops the connection between how your body moves and how it feels — a skill that carries into every other activity.

Injury prevention and recovery – Widely used in physical therapy and rehabilitation, Pilates rebuilds functional strength safely and progressively.

Cross-training that makes everything better – Running, lifting, cycling, swimming — a stronger core and better movement patterns improve performance across the board.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I start if I’ve never done Pilates? Intro to Mat Pilates is the perfect entry point. It covers foundational technique in a beginner-friendly environment, and our instructors will guide you through every movement.

What’s the difference between Mat Pilates and Pilates on a Ball? Mat Pilates uses your bodyweight and the floor for resistance and support. Pilates on a Ball incorporates a stability ball, which adds a balance challenge and engages your stabilizing muscles in new ways. Both are accessible to intermediate practitioners.

Is Pilates Burn appropriate for beginners? Pilates Burn is higher intensity and best suited for members who already have some Pilates experience. Start with Mat Pilates or Intro to Mat Pilates first to build your foundation.

What should I wear? Comfortable, form-fitting clothing you can move in easily. Grip socks are recommended but optional — bare feet work fine on the mat.

Is equipment provided? Yes. Mats, stability balls, and any props used in class are available at the studio. You’re welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.

Is Pilates included with my membership? Absolutely. All group fitness classes — including every Pilates format — are part of every Defined Fitness membership.
