200+ Classes a Week Across New Mexico
Defined Fitness offers group fitness classes at eight full-service clubs across Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and Farmington. Every format is coached, scalable, and scheduled throughout the week.
Defined Fitness has eight full-service gym locations across New Mexico: in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and Farmington. Every one of them runs a full group fitness schedule seven days a week. Across the network, that’s more than 200 classes per week.
The classes cover a lot of ground: Les Mills programs, Zumba and dance cardio, yoga and Pilates, aqua fitness, strength and HIIT, and dedicated classes for older adults and active seniors. Every class is led by an instructor, included with membership, and built to work for all fitness levels.
Our Les Mills training classes include formats like barbell-based resistance training, martial arts-inspired cardio, step aerobics, dance workouts, core-focused sculpting, HIIT, and indoor cycling. These science-backed formats combine expert coaching with powerful music to keep you motivated and moving.
Whether you want to build muscle, burn fat, improve coordination, or enhance athletic performance, our strength and cardio classes are for you. Classes are available multiple times per week and are scalable for all fitness levels.

Zumba® is one of the most popular group fitness formats in the world, and it’s one of the most-attended classes at Defined Fitness too. We’re an authorized Zumba provider, and classes run multiple times a week at every one of our locations.
We also offer Zumba Gold® for older adults and lower-intensity participants, Zumba Toning at select clubs, and Aqua Zumba in the pool at our Capital location in Santa Fe. Beyond Zumba, the dance cardio lineup includes Dance Fit, Salsa, MIXD, and High Fitness depending on your location.
Yoga Classes
Whether you’re looking for a gentle stretch or a challenging flow, there’s a yoga class on the schedule for you. We offer multiple styles across all eight locations, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Therapeutic, and Chair Yoga, so there’s a pace and approach that works no matter where you’re starting from.
Pilates Classes
Pilates is a core-focused training method that builds stability, posture, and functional strength through controlled movement. It’s a favorite on the Defined Fitness schedule, with classes running throughout the week at all eight locations.
Class types include mat Pilates, LES MILLS PILATES, Pilates Burn, and Yogalates, which blends yoga and Pilates principles into one class. Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or looking for a more challenging variation, there’s an option that fits. Check your home club’s calendar for specific formats and times.
Pool Classes
Not many gyms in New Mexico offer a full aqua fitness schedule. We do. Six of our eight locations have pools: Hilltop and Rio in Rio Rancho, Sandia and Bosque in Albuquerque, Capital in Santa Fe, and Metro in Albuquerque.
The pool schedule includes Aqua Fitness, Water in Motion, Aqua Zumba, and Adaptive Aquatics for members with physical disabilities or rehabilitation needs.
Aqua classes are a great option if you’re managing joint pain or recovering from an injury, but they’re equally effective for members who just want a solid workout without the impact. Lap swimming is also available at Sandia and Mesa on designated schedule slots.
Strength Training and HIIT Classes
Group fitness at Defined Fitness goes well beyond cardio. If strength training and high-intensity work is what you’re after, there’s plenty on the schedule.
Les Mills GRIT is a 30-minute HIIT program running at Capital, Metro, Bosque, and Mesa. LES MILLS STRENGTH DEVELOPMENT is a progressive barbell program at Bosque, Mesa, and Sandia. BODYPUMP Heavy is a higher-weight version of the standard BODYPUMP format, and is offered at several clubs for members who are ready to build serious muscle.
Additional strength and conditioning formats include Grind, Power Sculpt, Power Hour, XS Boot Camp, BootCamp, and Surge Hybrid, with availability depending on location.
Defined Fitness is a SilverSneakers® participating gym. Silver Sneakers Classic runs multiple times a week at every one of our locations, and eligible members can access it through select Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans at no extra cost.
The active aging schedule goes well beyond Silver Sneakers though. Depending on your location, you’ll also find Zumba Gold, Chair Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Senior Cardio Fit, Senior Ballet, Tai Chi, Tai Chi Chih, and Adaptive Aquatics. Hilltop in Rio Rancho and Sandia in Albuquerque have the most active aging variety in the network if that’s a priority for you.
Our locations run formats you won’t find at most gyms in New Mexico. POUND® is a full-body cardio class using Ripstix® weighted drumsticks, and is on the schedule at Hilltop and Mesa. Piloxing, which combines Pilates, boxing, and dance, runs at Mesa. Barre Defined, a ballet-inspired strength and toning class, is offered at our Capital location in Santa Fe.
Other specialty options include Ballet Fit and Senior Ballet at Hilltop and Sandia, Active Isolated Stretching at Sandia, Therapeutic Yoga at Hilltop, and PT Clinic ABS at all eight locations every Saturday morning — a physical-therapy-informed core session focused on deep core activation and injury prevention.
